I looked around and didn't see this posted anywhere yet, and not sure if this is the right place for it (if it isn't, feel free to move it to the right place), but I just seen this posted on Facebook on one of the supporter groups. Don't miss this one: 48 Hours Mystery will air a two-hour special dedicated to the West Memphis 3 case on Saturday, Feb. 27, 10PM ET/PT. I don't have complete details but it will feature an extensive interview with Damien Echols, John Mark Byers, ATA/supporters and a legal update on the case. Tell everyone you know to watch it LIVE! |

So if you are outside the U.S will there be a way to watch this programme.Here in the UK we do not get much episodes of 48 hrs.

I have a gig on the 27 thank god for DVR.... I highly dout we will hear anything that we already don't know however it will be interesting to watch.

Yeah, I have my concerns....let me guess, they'll paint the same shady question marks, and mix with some Metallica! As my grandmother used to say....Laawwdd. Lord (Laawwdd), I really hope 48 hours does this case some well deserved justice. If they actually happen to focus on the law, the evidence (lack thereof), law enforcement (WMPD), and the railroad job....[JESUS, ONE COULD ONLY HOPE AT THIS POINT]...then I think it will be worthwhile. However, if it's the same old crap....???.....well, I'll be very disappointed given that it's such a great opportunity to expose the gross injustice. Here's to hoping 48 Hours did their job and due diligence. |

I don't think you'll be hearing much Metallica.
48 Hours is a pretty serious show and while they can leave questions hanging when they must, they often flesh things out well enough for the viewer to draw his or own reasonable conclusions. But I don't think they'll just present both sides as if they are equal, particularly if one argument/position is clearly more solid than the other. (and by both sides I mean the WM3 being likely guilty vs. likely not guilty).
I suspect they'll spend some time on Mr. Hobbs and hope we'll get to see some of the people we've only been able to read about - or read their affidavits - so far.
They don't do too many two hour episodes, so they're giving this double the attention they give most cases. I guess my question is whether this will a 2 hour episode on 2/27 (if so, it won't be starting at 10 EST/PST - probably 9) or spread out over two weeks.

Thanks Larner! And Rugs! No, I haven't died........yet. :) I've just had so many different things going on and I haven't been devoting the time I'd like to posting. Rest assured that I've not given up on the case by any means. I'm still as devoted to Damien, Jason and Jessie as I've always been. Not a day goes by that I don't think of them at some point during the day. I just haven't been posting like I used to. I DO try very hard to post something when I see something new happening or about to happen, though, and I do try to read this board at least a few times a week. I have been kind of active at a group I found on Facebook, though. I figure that a lot of the people over there are new to the case and my posts would be more effective there, than with the already knowledgeable people here. Yes, I know we get new people here as well, but they are a lot more abundant over there. :) For anyone on FB, here's the group I'm in: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2212035780So, yeah, I've kind of been in the shadows, but I'm still active where the case is concerned. :) D,J&J are like brothers to me and I'm not going to ever forget them. I was thinking about the upcoming show and how it could have a positive effect on viewers and more specifically how it could inform the citizens of the WM/Marion/Mid-South area about the case and associated updates....I wonder if some kind of local advertisement for the show would be beneficial in reaching this idea?

Hi RCKxx, I would hope it would have a positive effect. As for local advertisement yes that would be helpful. Maybe contacting your local tv stations and emailing them with the news might be one possibility even if their not affiliated with CBS they do know about the WM3. |
