Yeah, I understand you have to be careful. His post did give off kind of an accusatory tone, but I'm thinking he intended it to be kind of a warning (Can't get away from those negative connotations!) post to everyone who does correspond with Damien.

I believe what was being meant was, if you did receieve a reply letter from Damien, please don't share what he may have written you. Rugs' post was in reply to what Justice posted and was kind of a preventative thought.... Justice had wrote: So I gather from your response that Damien finally answered your letter? Rugs' reply: I think you'll find that Damien and his family would prefer that any contact with him, and the contents thereof, remain private. By the way courtno, the person you are refering to owns the board, if you weren't already aware hun? Again, thanks for sharing when 48 hours will air, as i had thought it was on Saturday 27th....probably best to get confirmation i suppose.  |

I certainly appreciate that nothing was blown out of proportion or anything of that nature. I was really concerned about that this morning.
@whitegoddess I agree that it may be best to have other confirmation on the date if it is different from the norm. Does 48HRS usally run on CBS? That is one other thing I was informed of. Perhaps we can find info through the CBS website.

Yes, I am aware he owns the board ... I don't think I said anything offensive, and whether he owns the board or not doesn't change that. It could have been certainly been read as accusatory by anyone and musiclover seemed concerned as if she had done something wrong ... so I think we both kind of read it that way.
It's a message board ... it's typing ... it's not always going to come across the same to everyone.

Just an update .. I've checked the website for 48 hrs and did some general searching. I've found nothing stating the date of the show, nor have I found anything specific as to why it would be postponed until a Sunday. If I relayed any info that turns out to be "off", I do apologize.  |

We don't have complete details but it will feature an extensive interview with Damien Echols, JM Byers, ATA/supporters and a legal update on the case.

Just thought I'd give you a brief update on what's going on... As posted, there will be oral arguments for Damien at the ASSC probably no earlier than April. The State Supreme Court is in Little Rock and much easier to get to than the Jonesboro hearings ever were. When we know the actual date, we will tell everyone who is able to attend where to meet so that they can help us carry the postcard banner to the steps! We MUST keep the pressure on the media to continue to cover this case throughout 2010-- the 17th year that Damien, Jason and Jessie have been imprisoned for crimes they didn't commit.
The support fund is launching an urgent drive for funds for Jason and Jessie's upcoming Arkansas Appellate appeals. The filing fee is $12,000 for each of them and the state is charging their lawyers over $4.00 per page for photo copies of the court transcripts from their Rule 37 hearings. You can only imagine how many reams and reams of paper were generated by days of questioning (and requestioning)! The total for the fees and transcripts will be over $30,000 and we're asking supporters to please consider donating whatever they can as soon as they can. Please visit wm3.org to make your tax deductible donation, no amount is too small to count.
While wm3.org is gradually being rebuilt, we are rushing to put the supporters photo wall back up soon as possible. This is a great way to make a donation to the defense fund and also show the world that you're a WM3 supporter!
