48 Hours comes to Little Rock to interview WM3 supporters, Lorri and DamienPosted by Mara on Tuesday June 16, 2009Veteran correspondent Erin Moriarty (shown here) of the from the CBS news show, 48 Hours, spent yesterday and today in Little Rock interviewing Lorri Davis and several supporters of the West Memphis 3 for an hour-long program on the case that’s scheduled to air this fall.
Moriarty interviewed Davis on Tuesday. Today, she met with a group of six supporters, and tomorrow she and the camera crew will travel to the Maximum Security Unit to interview Damien Echols.

You really gotta hand it to Lorri; I think she started pushing for this a few years back maybe. I'm waaaaaaaaaaaay excited to see how it turns out. I think it'll be great. I'm a fan of 48 hrs anyway and watch it regularly.

This is fantastic i can't wait to see the show! Lets shoot off email's to LKL & other media
outlet's local & national during the promo a week before and a week after the show airs
just to remind them how much interest still swirls arround the case even after 17 years & that
a one hour (hoping it's 2) show isn't enough time to tell the whole story & their show could
expand on what 48 hrs aired. It certainly would be more interesting to viewer's than more
rehashing of Micheal Jackson's death.

October 29 – November 25, 2009 is the next "sweeps" period.
For anyone that does not know, "sweeps" periods are used by television stations, cable systems, and advertisers to make programming/scheduling decisions and set advertising rates. It is important for shows to do well during this period to guarantee their survival as a program and to maximize commercial advertising revenue.
